Sometimes, physical pain exists by itself. Other times, all is not what it seems: physical pain can have its origins in serious systemic problems e.g back pain brought on by kidney problems; shoulder pain due to problems in the pancreas; heart problems can sometimes cause pain radiating down the left arm; pain in the legs can be caused by poor circulation.
So if you have a persistent pain that refuses to go away with over the counter pain medication, it is advisable to get this checked out by your medical practitioner.
However, emotions and feelings can also lead to physical pain – stress is a big contributor, as is depression, anger and worry. All these affect posture, create imbalances in the body and can potentially lead to pain.
True to The FiXme Way’s philosophy of holistic care, the physical therapy offered includes
- postural correction
- skeletal realignment
- soft tissue release
….i.e. full musculoskeletal treatment.
No machines are used, adjustments are gentle with the principle objectives being mobilisation of stuck joints, improved flexibility and increased range of movements.
Soft tissue techniques used are various, including passive and active stretches, deep tissue massage, myofascial release and trigger point therapy to name a few.
It is important to identify the cause of your physical pain in order to deal effectively with it – this is the purpose of the Consultation Process.
- Back Pain
- Neck and Shoulder Problems
- Jaw and Ear Problems
- Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI)
You will be fully supported to ensure you are able to put the recommended corrections in place.
