The Treatment Process
Movement is a very complex process, involving the mind, nerves, muscles and joints, to name just a few players. A blockage in any or all of these ‘stations’ can lead to pain. Instead of trying to ‘reduce’ your condition to specific named muscles, joints, nerves or other such like, I use a fully ‘holistic’ and unique approach – holistic because I try and release the muscles, mobilize the joints and realign your skeletal framework ….and unique because I get all the relevant information from your body, not my mind…I let my hands find the areas to be worked on….
A lot of my work is ‘sleuthing’, playing Miss Marple, because most problems have hidden causes…
Have you been told YOU HAVE ONE LEG LONGER THAN THE OTHER?
If I had collected £1 each time a client had said this to me, I would be a wealthy woman indeed…
In the majority of cases this IS NOT TRUE!!!
The leg length discrepancy rises from pelvic (hip) misalignment and once this is realigned…bingo! Both legs are the same…and magically, your back pain goes…..
Teresa’s story:
Teresa Day (Dentist) limped towards me at a meeting and upon asking what ailed her, she replied she had back pain caused by one leg being longer than the other…I smiled wryly but she was adamant this was the case – every therapist she had seen thus far had told her so. When I saw her for treatment, yes she did have a leg length discrepancy but I was convinced this was caused by something she was doing. Why? Because when I realigned her pelvis, the legs were both the same lengths. So I questioned her further and lo and behold! The cause was her posture and more specifically, the way she was using the lever which changed the height of patient’s chair …we corrected this and her back pain has never returned…..
