Every business and over 70% of homes have computers – but only a negligible number of users know how to set up and use them safely. This is because people are not aware of the dangers of misuse – back pain and RSI are rampant in computer users and 6 people each day in the UK are losing their livelihood to RSI…!!
RSI is essentially an overuse syndrome where a constant, repetitive or forceful activity causes the damage. It is a generic term used to cover a range of specific disorders of the musculoskeletal system i.e pain in the muscles, nerves and connective tissue, such as tendons, ligaments and fascia (the cling film like structure that compartmentalises our body). Both the upper and the lower parts of the body as well as the spine can be affected and disorders can include some or all of the above symptoms.

Sue’s Story:
For several years Sue was waking with numb hands in the middle of the night and her quality of life was poor e.g chopping vegetables was difficult – she had to stop, shake her hands out and take a break before carrying on. An Osteopath had been treating her for RSI but she wasn’t getting anywhere.
Sue’s testimonial:
“I have been suffering from ‘Carpel Tunnel Syndrome’ for at least 4 maybe 5 years. I have tried various forms of treatment and resorted to receiving a cortisone injection. As I was experiencing so much discomfort I even agreed to my GP referring me to a specialist for possible surgery (something I had been trying to avoid). Then I met Diksha who has treated my back, neck, shoulders, elbow and wrists with Deep Massage, Mobilsation and Realignment techniques. She has spent a lot of time correcting my posture and teaching me simple exercises that are essential to maintain progress.”
“I can honestly say I haven’t looked back or regretted my decision to consult her. My symptoms have greatly diminished and continue to do so.”
