Headaches
…can be caused by many different triggers, the most common ones being
- stress
- poor posture
- low water intake
- excessive exercise
- bad eye sight
- hormone imbalance (seen mainly in women)
One has to be careful to rule out any insidious underlying factors such as undetected high blood pressure, tumours, thyroid malfunction to name just a few so if you have been getting headaches without any obvious reason, it is best to pay your doctor a visit to get it checked out.
How do I treat headaches?
Using my hands I locate areas that need attention and work on these by massaging out the tension, mobilising movement in joints, stretching muscles (and other soft tissue) and realigning the bones in the face, head, neck and shoulders.
Amanda’s story and testimonial
“I started going to Diksha 11years ago, after a friend recommended her to me. I had been suffering from upper back and neck pains, but I also had migraines and the episodes were becoming more frequent & intense.”
“After a few sessions the pain in my neck and back had gone and there was a marked improvement in my migraines. After the initial sessions, Diksha recommended that I have an appointment every 2 months for maintenance, and this is what I did for a few years, but then stopped going as I felt OK. However the back & neck pain returned, as did the frequency of the migraines, so I tried acupuncture and massage as alternatives, but they did not help. So I phoned Diksha and she welcomed me back. The main difference with Diksha’s treatment is that she treats the whole body, she adapts her treatment based on the conversation that you have on how you are feeling, so you may go for one specific thing but you find that you get benefits in other areas as well!”
